Jacek Bełdowski

As an EMCC coach and mentor, I help professionals become better leaders. For 25 years, I managed local and global teams as a CEO. I am a leader who brings passion and a wealth of business experience to coaching. I have been a member of global managerial teams that transformed organisations by adapting them to radical changes in the business environment.

I co-author mentoring programmes and train mentors. I am a mentor for start-ups at the MITEF CEE, social innovators at the Ashoka CEE, young entrepreneurs at the Warsaw University Incubator, and female leaders at the Business Leader Foundation.

I give post-graduate lectures at Kozminski University.

I advise non-governmental organisations and small and medium businesses on organisational structure and management. In my free time, I run marathons.

Experience

I was head of the company Egmont in Poland and the CEE region. Along with a team of over 400, I built up a leading position on the children’s publishing market in 15 CEE countries, with key companies In Poland, Russia and Turkey. I was responsible for ensuring revenue growth on a non-growth market, obtaining key publishing rights, restructuring the region, making green-field investments in Ukraine, and handling mergers and acquisitions.

I created a global creative centre – Egmont Creative Solutions – which cooperates with the largest licensing partners, including Disney, Hasbro, Mattel and Microsoft. I managed creative teams in London, Berlin, Copenhagen and Warsaw.

I am co-founder of a content marketing agency that handles sales campaigns and employee and customer communication for corporate clients.

Specialisations

I have a degree in engineering from Warsaw University of Technology. For many years, I worked as an expert, then went on to successfully head the company. I willingly pass on my experience as an executive coach and mentor to experts in the technical professions – engineers and IT managers – helping them develop their leadership competences and achieve their organisational goals. I believe that everyone deserves to have a good boss and a non-toxic working environment.
